The 1951 classic Scrooge, a retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol starring Alastair Sim, will be screened in December.
The FB Pocket Orchestra will perform the soundtrack live in sync with the film, creating an immersive musical experience.
Ollie Corbin, co-director of the FB Pocket Orchestra, said: “Scrooge Live is a new and totally unique way to experience this classic film.
“The musical arrangement has taken months of planning and with our UK tour just a few weeks away we are excited to welcome audiences at venues across the country.”
FB Pocket Orchestra’s musical director, Paul Stevenson, transcribed the score line by line to preserve the original work of composer Richard Addinsell.
The orchestra will perform the music in concert at Colchester Town Hall on December 9 as part of a 16-date UK tour.
