Dukes Head Billericay does one of the UK’s best Sunday roasts
Making the list by Muddy Stilettos was The Dukes Head, on the outskirts of Billericay.
On its website, the pub says it offers “tempting menus, beautiful interiors, and laidback atmosphere”.
Recently renovated, the restaurant and pub says its interiors are “truly unique”, offering “spacious dining areas, a sophisticated bar, and a stunning beer garden”.

“The plates here are piled with the crispest potatoes, fluffiest Yorkshires and the most buttery of veg! Enjoy two courses for £30, or three for a very reasonable £35.
“Menus change with the seasons, but expect the likes of beef, pork loin or spiced squash, all served with roasties, carrot & squash purée, seasonal greens, a Yorkshire pudding, and of course gravy (plus optional cauliflower cheese).
“For dessert, the choice is tough, but if it’s on the menu, the orchard fruit cobbler with cinnamon ice cream sounds delightful.”
