Irish funnyman David O’Doherty was set to appear at Colchester Arts Centre on Wednesday, July 15, with a lineup of comedy guests.
The show was called off due to “circumstances beyond our control” and a “particularly busy evening in the nation’s sporting calendar.”
A spokesman for Colchester Arts Centre said: “We’re sorry to announce that, due to circumstances beyond our control – and a particularly busy evening in the nation’s sporting calendar – we’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule this show.
“We hope to a have new date asap and apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.”

O’Doherty, who is also an author and playwright, is known for his distinctive mix of musical comedy and deadpan humour.
