Essex crime: Teenagers arrested as police launch arson investigation after motorbike set on fire in Colchester

Essex Police have launched an arson investigation after a motorbike caught fire in Colchester early this morning (Thursday, May 5). A motorbike and parts of the front of a property on Stalin Road had been damaged by flames.

Shortly after 2am, Essex Police were notified by fire crews of the fire and attended the scene of the incident. When they arrived, officers found significant damage had been caused to the motorbike and parts of the front of a property had been charred.

However, the fire had not spread into the house, due to the quick thinking and fast actions of the homeowner. The fire service’s fast response was also considered to be an important factor.
