A major Colchester road was shut on Tuesday, February 28 following a crash. A vehicle reportedly collided with a pedestrian on the A134 via Urbis Romanae.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix said the road was closed eastbound at around 4.15pm. “A134 via Urbis Romanae Eastbound closed, slow traffic due to accident, a pedestrian involved from Nayland Road to A1341,” it said in an update.
“Sensors confirm the road has been closed around 16:15.”

At just after 6pm Inrix confirmed the road had reopened. “A134 Via Urbis Romanae Eastbound re-opened, traffic returned to normal, accident cleared from Nayland Road to A1341,” it said. “All restrictions have cleared with no delays.”
